Calcium out, strength back in. Kérastase Première Concentré Décalcifiant Ultra-Réparateur is a pre-shampoo treatment with an 8% concentration of pure acids. Key Ingredients, Explained
-
Citric acid: An organic acid (AHA) that captures and removes calcium build-up from hard water, inside and on the surface of the hair, to fight dullness and stiffness.
-
Glycine: An amino acid that penetrates the hair's inner layer once calcium is removed, helping reconnect broken bonds between keratin chains to reduce breakage.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does hard water damage hair?
Calgary and much of Alberta have hard water, which leaves calcium deposits on hair. Damaged, bleached or porous hair absorbs even more, so it looks dull and feels stiff and brittle. Première removes that calcium while repairing.
How long do I leave it on?
Apply 3 to 5 pumps to damp hair and leave it on for 5 minutes before shampooing.
How often should I use it?
Before every shampoo during the repair phase, then 1 to 2 times a week to maintain.
Do I rinse it before shampoo?
No. Apply Bain Décalcifiant on top, lather and rinse together.
Where can I buy Kérastase in Alberta?
Online at denimandsmith.com, shipped from Calgary, or at any Denim & Smith location across Calgary, Edmonton, Cochrane, Okotoks and Rocky View.
